Dr Konosoang Sobane is a Chief Research Specialist at the HSRC. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stellenbosch University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science Communication. She has worked intensively in the fields of evidence-based policymaking, convening science-policy dialogues, and communicating science for policy across all disciplines. She has also been a policy brief coordinator at the HSRC for more than 10 years, a role in which she trains research to: package research for policy; understand the role of research in policymaking and to positions themselves in policymaking processes.
